Waking up

Darling Readers,

Other than ADHD, I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Post(ural) Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome which do occur together moreso than not.

Post(ural) Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome or POTS is episodic—comes and goes and no one knows the actual cause—but the symptoms can be exhausting and limiting. The symptoms can be headaches, fast heart rate, palpitations, lightheadedness, dizziness, and similar. They occur when changing positions from laying down to sitting up to standing up to bending over and anywhere in between. It effects your heat rate, not blood pressure.

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or EDS has subtypes, like I, II, III, etcetera or Classic, Classic-like, Hypermobile and so forth. It is a connective tissue disorder that is genetic causing joint instability, easy bruising, easily develop scars, and it effects your entire body. It can also just cause pain in some people and make it to where your joints will dislocate easily, like picking up a full gallon of milk. Depending on your subtype, it can effect parts of your body more than others, like Vascular type which effects your circulatory system and organs WAY more than Classic or Hypermobile does as I understand it.

Chronic illnesses or disorders are frustrating because they’re invisible, just like mental illnesses and disorders. It’s hard to really see them until it’s really bad.

Anyway, waking up with your foot already cramping and upper back pain just sucks. I already want to go to bed. >.<

Being the Mother of our two boys, I don’t have that luxury. I have to get them up, dressed, fed, and out the door. One day my POTS will be under control because the heart rate part is tiresome. 😴
